smog pump delete, check light?

whats up friends? have not been on in a bit as my truck is tore in pieces.. i'm swapping out motors. anywho.. i do not have to smog my 87 with tbi 5.7 i plan to take off the smog gear and set it aside. i'm just worried that it may set a check light? not too sure. any info here would be great. thank you much.

What are you planning on taking off? TBI needs most everything to run right.
If you have a California truck with AIR you can remove that part without causing any problems. but all other sensors must stay.
In Ca i dont think You will pass smog without the AIR system .

haha i should have been more descriptive.. i'm just planning to remove the smog pump, or "air injection pump" the county i live in does not require smog so im not too worried. of course i would not remove any sensors. everything will be intact except the air pump and tubing. there is a 3 prong connector that connects to it and im worried that having it disconnected will set a light...

You can remove the air pump. Souldnt have any trouble codes with connector removed. Plug the vac line going to it.

No Error codes for AIR / SMOG pumps.
