Smog Pump

The hot air set up has does not operate with a smog pump. This tube just sits on the outside of your header and as the engine warms up it draws air from around the header into the carb. This alows the intake air to be heated, burning cleaner, less toxic emissions. So you will need it to pass a visual for smog depending what state you live in.

If you do not know if you have a smog pump or not then count how many items you do have. Is there anything left over? AC, PS Pump, Alternator, Water Pump,....and ..... You probably have reciculating lines connecting to each of you header tubes going up into a rubber tube that looks like heater core coolant lines. This all goes to your smog pump. Also...Look in your CHILTON'S book. If you do not have one.....YOU NEED ONE.
