smog pumps

hey everybody. yes im new to the blazer. i bought an 89 k5. seems to bea great place to start for an off road truck. anyways i have that dang smog pump and i wanted to know can i just get rid of it or will my computer/truck be affected? plus is it possible to make it an air pump? just trying to think outside the box. thanx -sandypants

a smog pump is an air pump, if you mean make it an air compressor for filling tires and stuff I dont think its gonna work.
