Smoke tail lenses

They look alright, but I'd rather just have my stock tail lights blacked out.

New to me. Not my thing but someone here might like 'em

If they didn't have the big round euro-thingy in the center, I'd like 'em.

and i'd rather go the other way. since i have a white k5, white(ish) lenses with red bulbs behind would be cool.

i've done this. i had so many problems with the police it just wasn't worth it. i later sold them for $20 and went and bought regular ones. i did like the way they looked, just too much headache

as for the ones pictured. i don't like those. they are jut euro taillights smoked. reminds me of something you'd put on a import of some kind. see them too much. just my .02

The cops didn't like the smoked lenses? I've seen the warnings in catalogs about that, but never heard of anyone actually getting hassled over it. I don't understand why either...they still light up red when you hit the brakes...

thing was they said mine were too dark. guy i know did them himself. he had the same thing and never got hassled. maybe they didn't like me

Ah...well I'd like some if I can find some that look stock. I plan to convert all brake, tail, marker, turn-signal, etc bulbs to LEDs when I can afford it. I figure they'll show through the smoked covers at least as good as 1157s do through the stock covers.

I just took my stock tails wet sanded them and then sprayed dupont chromabass and clear on it, Held up realy good, to alder scratches.
i dont got any pictures on the truck

That looks *really* good man... Did you mask off the clear section for the reverse lights?

I got a smoked set to go on my crew cab without the big round euro thing a ma jigger. I don't remember the brand but they are a quality piece.

I agree. As I stated at the bigging the smoked thing isn't my cup o tea but yours look pretty d@mned pretty! Nice job.

They'd fit in well with my planned color scheme--all white and black. I'll keep the body white as it is now, and the mirrors, bumpers, wheels...all black.

There'll be no chrome anywhere once I'm done. :-)
