Smokers Vent Window

Any tips or tricks on getting the little vent window from squealing/whistling? Can you get new seal kits for those windows?

takes 2 hands.... pull in on the latch and push out on the other corner hard.... works every time for the last 3 burbs I've had.... My pickup needed a penny under the latch every time though.. good luck.... and I think LMC trucks sells an entire replacement wing setup for them. not real expensive if I remember right

I posted this fix in another thread, but could not find it.

If the rubber is stiff due to age, the only thing I have done that worked was.....

Tape a piece of waxed paper onto the metal of the wing. Run a thin bead of black RTV on the rubber. Close the wing but do not latch it completely. Just enough to put pressure on the RTV. Let it sit until the RTV sets up and you should be good to go.
