Plank or right now should be called

Good lordie does it smoke right now. The blazer originally had the PCV hooked up under the throttle body. It burning the smallest amount of oil but always felt PCV related.

With Plank, I tried putting it in the air cleaner, for some negative vacuum but less aggressive. That caused it to smoke heavily from the breather.

I moved it back to under the TB and good grief Charlie Brown does it smoke.

I didn't notice anything wrong with cylinder walls while looking past the crank. Heads were not taken off. Intake and valve covers were.

I'm a little deflated. Happy to hear it start, my goodness it's a bit loud in the car. Guess that's I6 -> V8 for ya.

Cause video :D It's definitely more smokey that what comes across on video. Fumigating the backyard.

Has this been sitting, did this start all of a sudden? Need more info/history on what you got going on.

Isn’t that a new exhaust with new pipe? If so it could just be some oils in that burning out.

I had Bender running just before I pulled the drivetrain. After that I replaced the oil pan, sealed valve covers and intake. It smoked the smallest amount before, tiny amount that was only seen after reving in park, then went away. Never noticed while driving.

The smoke now is while reving and just after. I'm talking Union Pacific over the Rockies 60 years ago smoke. Definitely oil :(

Yes, long tube headers and dual exhaust is all new. That would be an amazing amount of oil :dunno:

When was the last time it ran more than just a start and idle?
Could be sticky rings, a little running Could free them up.

Early this year. Maybe January or February I'm guessing. It was at BB 2023, and got moved late 2024. Think I ran it after just to play with it before pulling. I can drop some SeaFoam if that helps, or little water to shock things.

Water will make steam to dislodge carbon deposits, I have done that but I would wait first, the oil warming up and driving it a little should take care of the rings.
It could also be the valve stem seals, but that will be more obvious if the first few seconds it's a big puff of smoke then it's less
