Smokey The Crew Cab---- 90 V3500 6.5 Banks equipped(Cummins Swap in progress)

White Chevy pickup. wow never seen one of those before....... :doah:

You can do better than that I'm sure.

yeah yeah, I'm just on a budget and tired of the truck looking so ghetto its a complete repaint as well, it will be a base clear but no metallic or pearl , so that really limits my choice as well.

I'm not really feeling the white ...... which is why I'm looking for ideas :)

Thats a awesome color, just don't think it would jive with blue upholstery

That's why they invented this stuff :deal:

Paint it like the blazer. I've never seen a crew can like that.

Look. It's even in the background do you can imagine it. I might come see you this weekend. Just got off the rig.

^^ saw a cc about that color last week...it looked like a 90 or 91, it was purty!

Gotta start carrying a camera...I keep seeing cool vehicles all the time.

Has anyone ever used that fabric dye???? Its gotta look good , like factory good or I won't even consider it.

Adam the Blazer color scheme is ok maybe flipped though isntead.

Stew, the 1st pic you posted is the same color as the truck was originally.

I have. Did the pillar trim and visors, I recovered the headliner too. I can try and get better pictures this weekend. I used the SEM line of paints/dyes. I can get you the color code later.

I dont have issue doing the trim pieces, I concerned about the seats, as right now they are perfect . same with my door panels and lower door carpet .

Ugh and the seatbelts, and my subwoofer box there all done in blue , I'd have a **** ton of stuff to do a color change on the inside

you want to re-dye the seats and lower door carpets? From what color to what color? Ritt maybe? I really hate to endorse the most soul crushing, man hating website ever; but maybe have your girlfriend look on pinterest?

Leave the interior blue. I have never seen a dyed interior that looked good.

Martin

If you have a full interior then don't dye it. It's not a perminant solution. It works fine felts and vinyl, but not so much for plastic like your door panels as it tends to chip.

i dont want to change interior colors so I need a color that wont clash with a blue interior

Ended up selling this rig to Dokwatson, I bought a New Cummins and ended up getting my 97 cummins back AND picked up a sweet 78 power wagon

So I ended up getting this truck back from dokwatson. It's in pretty rough shape he didn't take care of it at all :( still runs but I'm pretty sure he never changeD the oil in 20,000 miles. The body is pretty rotten now as he lives closer to the ocean then I do. Cab and doors are still good but the bed and front fenders are fragged.

So I've been using it for hauling trash and firewood and some mild wheeling , pulled the 315's off and went to a set of 38x12.50-16 tsl's. Not sure what fate has in store.

Yeah it is the truck just needed paint and some minor body work , now it needs pretty much a complete body replacement.
