My Buddy Big Joe built this truck for a shop truck, but he sold to another buddy who's in the army up here. well this guy had it parked on base and it got stolen,driven to remote part of base, had the wheels tires and stereo stolen, and then they lit a fire in the back seat.

The guy bought it back from his Insurance and I bought the truck from him tonight

There is no Sheet metal damage at all

busted column and dash panel and possibly a broken window our two




its a 90 V3500

I was ganna say the same thing but then I thought, it's more likely it's dually axles but the tires and wheels were stolen so they put whatever tires they had to bring it home.:dunno:
 
I was thinking the same, but if it was dually it has the wrong bed on it. You'd think dually rims on a SRW front would have the wheels tucked in deeper. Same for a SRW rim/tire on a dually rear...should be tucked in deeper. If it was origianlly a DRW then it should have the extra dually fenders on the box.

It really looks like it has a DRW front and a SRW rear in the pic...

The first picture is an old picture before it went under the knife we had planned on making it a Dually and had swapped out the front Hubs with

the second picture is a in progress picture .


I'll get current pics when I get home form work and pick it up

yeah it still runs all they took was the wheels and tires and the stereo , they tried to burn the truck but the fire barely even burned the seats.

I dont know all the details but the truck was parked at the base RV storage lot . you have to have a code to get in there.

So the chances of a civilian getting on base to steal the truck and then stripping and burning it ON base are pretty slim.


we've been watching craigslist for the tires and wheels to show up as they were new with less them 500 miles on them
 
The Visor is a more function then form for me. It keeps a suprising amount of snow off the windshield when it snows, and keeps the sun out of my eyes.
 
So do you have a visor already or are you in need of one? I'm not trying to sell you one but I could save you one of the two that I have if we can come up with a plan to get it to you. I don't know were I could find a box big enough for one or how much shipping would be.
 
I will get some pics but I'm not real speedy with getting them onto the 'puter....If I send this crewcab to the crusher(don't ban me for typing that!!!) I will pull it to save. Someone put lights on top of it!! I also have an original lighted version on the '90 Jimmy I just bought. No I wasn't searching out visors...I swear it was just luck!! LOL!
