I came across a bunch of videos by some guy named gadgetman that mods carbs throttle bodies etc. He claims dramatic increase in mpg and power increase. I personally don't see how it could be that much of an increase of anything:dunno: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20lqjAHxLNo

Greater air/fuel flow is only going to net you more power if you have an engine that can take advantage of it. Any air/fuel that an engine takes in it has to get rid of (suck, squish, bang, blow). Anyone who has ever used a carb that is too large can tell you that sometimes less is more. I've seen people spend big money on big bore throttle bodies, yet they're running a stock intake and heads, so where's that extra flow going to go?

Eliminating restrictions can free up some power and MPG, but you're not likely to see anything dramatic. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Making sure your carb and ignition are properly tuned will do a lot more benefit than flow modifications. My favorite snake oil items are those electric "superchargers" that go in the intake tube and those insulators that you put on the fuel line that "aligns" the molecules and is supposed to give you 20% better mileage...:haha:

One lady claimed 800 miles on a tank in a 99 burb ? I guess you add a extra 50 gallon tank in the back :haha:
