So I thought I had a problem with my 203 range box. Not so tweaked a couple of things that made it shift better but after further investigation I have a broken transmission. Like really broken. Bad bad noises metal against soft aluminum housing type noises. Not sure what broke, but its terminal

I am not going to put another th350 in there.

I have a 465 with a hydro bell housing that I was going to use in another project (and would still like too)

Do a 700 still durability is somewhat of a question

Or do a turbo 400

No matter what I choose I will keep my current doubler.

Problem with all these is I will be doing the rebuild on what ever I choose. My wife likes the auto and actually with the doubler I don't mind it at all

I have to consider cost here too I will have to save for at least 3 months before any of these will work at all

rocks mud deep snow trail riding camping showing off annoying me those are pretty much its main uses.

I use this for everything even occasionally driving around town

if u dont need overdrive i'd go 400.

Vote for stick 465,you will love the granny gear. But the 400 combo is nice for cruising.

well a combination of no money and common sense from several guys who I know and trust and just my own gut feeling and I am going to rebuild the th 350 I already have.

Reasons being I put this trans through hell, drove it with a total disregard for making the trans last. With my crappy gearing (now a thing of the past) and 42s I would stall on big rocks sometimes and couldn't move instead of doing the smart thing I would do the stupid thing....how do you get a truck moving that is revving against the converter and not moving, well simple more rpms how do you accomplish that............................................ummmmmmmmm neutral drop oh yeah baby that little 350 put up with alot and I can't afford to have anyone else rebuild and a 350 is the only trans I have been into. So I will build it pics of carnage to come when I tear it down this weekend
