ok well today while trying to get a ring gear off a carrier i shatterd a snap on air hammer bit and part of it hit me in the stomach and ive got 5 stiches there, 3 in and 2 out. whats the warranty on the bits??

lifetime, watch for infection because it might not be that long of a life LOL
oh dont worrie they pulled 2 pieces of metal out on one side and then another one the size of a pee out of a 1 inch deep hole so yeah im pretty sure they cleaned it up, and honestly im kinda pissed off about it. I also bent the he heck out of a snap on punch trying to get the same ring gear off.

i dont understand why you'd air hammer a ring gear off, they make clamshell seperators for that
to pop a ring gear off a carrier? most the time you take a punch put it in one of the ring gear bolt holes wack on it a couple times and it comes loose.

or leave the bolts threaded in a c-hair and smack them with a hammer... but an air hammer? someone in a rush? LOL
i had a c4 ford input shaft for a punch. it bit back one day.
it was a warranty job on a 4500 series dumptruck, so yeah i was trying to get it out quick fast and in a hurry. Paid 5.4 hrs and got an extra 2 b/c the treads on the carrier got messed up while i tried to pop it off.
