while wheeling the other day, the front upper shackle bolt snapped .I limped it home and tried to take it out but it would not budge. does anyone have any tricks to get it out? thanx,ERIK
Are you running shackles in the very front(like a jeep) or just the stock spring hanger. If you snaped a spring hanger I do not know what to tell ya if its the front stock shackles(the rear of the front springs) heres what to do.
first the Bolt is not "stuck in the frame" Nearly stuck in the bushing. Take a drill and drill several holes arround the rubber bushing until the bushing colapses and just take a punch or a hammer and tap it out. Also you will have to grab a razor knife and cut the lip of the bushing off,(do this after drilling) and then just punch it out the side that you cut off. Also this is a good time to install beefier shackles.
