There are some good tools in there. Score for you. :waytogo: Box looks good. Don't ya just love it when a plan works out. :thumb:

You know that if a Snap On Box is locked, but one drawer is open, you can open the rest of the drawers, right?

Martin

not on mine .

mabye older ones or sticking units.

the newer ones drop a bar down the back and catch a hook on each drawer.

Yeah, I have done it on the newer boxes. Mine is just as new or newer than yours.

Martin

You can leave one drawer open on mine(krl1023) and all the other stay locked. I've never heard of that with the snap-on boxs?

You can only open another drawer when you close the one that is open.

pics of the worst spots. it looks like the lower box might be a little older. it has more scrartches and wear marks, but the top had alot of overspray and body shop dust in it. idk.
i looked up the parts on snap on's site. its only $130 for 5 locks with keys, all the broken plastic lock & roll latches and the missing parts for the locking system on the lower box.
one of the guys at work is had some slides he didnt need. so im just going to buy everything i need next week. im getting impatient.

You might want to ask your Snap on dealer about the lock and roll latches as our Snap on guy will warranty them so your guy might as well. Can't hurt to ask and try and save some bucks.

x2 on lock N roll latches warrenty . sliders also .

stainless drawer cap kit and stainless body gaurd kit will fix 90% of your scratched paint areas.

i did it on mine new before all the scratches.

I e-mailed snap on about our lack of a dealer. They replied and said a dealer will contact me. The other dealer in town called me. Said he would come by. That was a over a week ago. He stops at my buddies shop. He asked him to stop by this week......nothing. I'm sure he just doesn't care to come by for a bunch of warrantee stuff.

The latches are $3 each. Not expensive. It gets old having the drawers slowly glide out. So I will buy those. Get the locks. They are most of the cost. $92. Then wait to get the other slides replaced later under warrantee.

Sweet- I like that kit. Not sure how well it would look on a red box. I will need to do some searching on the googles to see if I like it. How much was it?

Yeah, I had that stainless steel trim and drawer guards on my first Snap On box, and I didn't care for it. I specifically requested not to have it on my next one. Scratched drawers don't look as bad as all that cheesy "chrome" does.
