This is one of our entries into the upcoming Top Shop Challenge on Oct. 1 and 2. We decided to get back into the K5 business and beat the Jeeps.

These are pics from just last night. Needless to say we have a little work left.

Stay tuned for updates.

Truck looks awesome! I hope you guys win, would be nice to see a fullsize beat a bunch of heeps for sure! Are you sticking with the suspension that is on it now? Just wondering how well that rear end will flex, those springs look like they have alot of arch to them? Good luck though and keep up the good work

is that an m1009 that a 4 speed was swapped into at one time
nice work, looking forward to seeing the outcome

Looks good!

But that dual fan set-up behind the rig in the second pic look a little too big to fit the narrowed front! :thumb: :haha:

Or is that going to be mounted to the top for air conditioning?

It was a m1009. I swapped in the pedals. The springs look a little tall due to the fact that it has no drivetrain,,,,yet. Just picked up the 454 HO that has been bumped to about 500hp before the intro of nitrous. We are installing a nv4500 mated to an ORD doubler. Should be running by this weekend. We stuck with a stiff spring combo since the main events for this ride will be the mud pit and dump truck pull. We plan on running it in the timed trail challenge as well. We have a set of 38.5 boggers ready as a new set of shoes. If you look at the specs real close and the pics of the wheels you might notice that the entire drivetrain was robbed from our 89 Sub that was in Fourwheeler. When we sold the truck the buyer did not want the stick, doubler, or the one ton axles and tire and wheel combo. So we swapped everything out and kept it for this project. Look for more updated pics soon. The final paint scheme will be camo with camo flames---really!

Just so everyone knows, there will be a Jeep from the MOO shop. It will hopefully keep up with the full size guys, but then again it is running a GM D60 Dually front axle, GM 14BFF rear,NV4500 5 speed, Atlas T-Case and 39.5 IROK Radials on Hummer Rims. So it isn't exactly what you would call a Heep.
My Heep Project

I try to forget that you went to the dark side-----You actually have a cheep.
DID WE BUILD THAT IN THE SHOP????

i'm not quite sure i'm understanding you. so yer saying that yellow sub you built last year, you sold it and the buyer only wanted the frame and body?

So someone bought the killer yellow sub but didn't want any of the trick parts?

We modified the Suburban with a turbo 400 to a np205. Installed a 4 inch lift, changed out the front and rear for a 14bolt rear and 10 bolt front 8 lugger both with 4.10 gears with ARB's front and rear. Installed a Kilby air system. Placed it all on 35 inch bfg's on Mickey thompson wheels.

To put it all in perspective here it is right before customer pickup

impressed doesnt even begin to cover the feeling when i saw that Burb last year at SEMA. hopefully the Blazer will be as impressive as the Burb was. from the looks of things, you're definitely headed in that direction.

If you recall, it was merely taking up space in your shop!! Just kidding, thanks for installing the BTF Shackle Reversal, BTF Full Width Kit, 6" Frame Extension, Rear Crossmember/Bumper/Swingout Tire Carrier Combo, as well as building the Transfer case mount/skidplate. I will see you on Saturday to do the cage work.

I'll post pics of my rig after the weekend! Awesome, we have one weekend before the event, to thrash and bash to make sure our Junk works all while learning how to drive again!
