Snorkel Ideas

I know this has been brought up before, but not recently. I just want to know if anyone here runs a snorkel and has pics/info on it. I just put the 454 in my blazer and want to hook up a snorkel kit. Looking for Ideas, Thanks,

spectre dual air box with a hose through each fender and up both sides of the cab. it would let it breath more but you would need to be warry of the two snorkels during water crossings

you should put a super charger on it to then cut the hood to fit the air box

Would cost about $400 without the blower which would make it 4x the fun, while its not broken for a mere $3500. You would have to seal the air box with some sort of non permanent gasket unless you wanted to run cone fitlters, it you went with cones you could seal it for good.

also they usually sell the spectre air box's at auto zone, I'm going to buy one to run the tubes through my head light opening to get alittle ram air at highway speeds. 70mph's=2 pounds of boost

If you aren't running AC you can run a tube through the firewall and into the passenger compartment, thats what I did since I didnt want some big thing hanging outside of the truck that was just going to catch on a tree

but its true, they used to do it in drag cars before blowers became wide spread. The very least it will do is help charge my cylinders at highway speeds giving me better mileage

I thought I read somewhere that there is actually a low pressure area in the front of the Blazers. Which in turn would do nothing as par as ram air effect.

No idea if this is true or not though.

How would it form? the air flows throught the engine bay and out, mine flows out the back of my hood and out the bottom of the engine bay. Then if it's from the headlights creating a swirl like in a truck beg that would be gone after the light openings are turned into air scoops. least thats what I think.
