I am getting ready for another ****ty buffalo winter. my 31's that came on my truck are toast and the 40's i run in the summer may not fair so well in the snow. I have a 87 shortbox with 6 inches of suspension lift. what is a good size tire to run in the snow/ and what brand is good? I prefer studded snows. I know the skinnier the better, so i was thinking 235/75/15. I son't care atall how the truck looks, just how it performs.

I used to run 33x9.50r15 bfg a/t for winter and loved them super traction for ice and snow.. The 33" tire wouldn't look bad with 6" of lift either..

AT:s are better than MT:s on snow and ice.
But if you have tried a REAL winter-tire, you'll realize that AT:s sucks too!

Get something like this:
Cooper discoverer M+S
And get the studded version

I ran 33/12.50 Big-O X/T's last year, and they performed well. Especially considering that my 4x4 was out most of the winter. Granted, I have been dealing with snow most of my life, and it is second nature to slow down and pay attention to what I am doing. A narrower tire would have performed better, but the X/T tread performed really well for me.
