I saw a k5-a-van /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif cruising down the I15 south around Lake Elsinore. Was there someting going on that I missed?

We had a little run up to saddle back peak after the meeting today. Turned out to be quite an adventure because one of the guys punched a hole in his oilpan.

Brian's Exploder got a rock through the oil pan. Took FOREVER to get down the mountain but we made it.

if it can happen to an exploder, it can happen to any of our rigs as well. Good excuse to break out the tools and make a quick guard to prevent such travesties.

Thats why I bought a slamguard oil pan - 1/4" plate across the entire bottom of it... but we all know I really bought it because it was chrome! I almost made the trip up there but had to cancel at the last minute. Maybe next time.

Speaking of next time- Whens that Coral Canyon run getting moved to since its not on Fathers Day anymore???
