So does the low lift, cut fenders thing work as well for burbs?

While i'm not a fan of stupid tall trucks, and i do dig the low lift stuffed tires look on K5s, its always seemed to me that a burb or a crew cab needs a taller lift to not only look proportionate but also to clear the rockers, t-case, etc. i would think dragging bottom would be a much bigger issue for us if we are too low slung. too me 6-8" of lift looks good on long wheelbase rigs...lets here from the guys actually wheelin their burbs

i am not a big wheeler, but I do agree that the bigger lifts look good on the long wheel base vehicles. You dont really notice how tall they are because they are so long. If you see a wrangler with a very tall lift you notice right away because they are so short.

Yeah, I think bigger lifts are more at home on a burb or longbed. It helps with bellydragging and taildragging.:D I have an awful lot of dents (fenders, doors, rockers, bedsides) that may have been avoided with a little more lift.

well, future plans include min 38s...

could keep the 4" i have now and do 1" body and zero rates and mondo trimming...my other rig with 6" springs rides like a buck board. don't really care do do the 52" thing. the goal is more moderate flex, big ass tires and lockers. I'm sure i will obsess over it way too much before i actually have the money do do said mods

I was running 4" lift on my K20 with 37" tires, but the K35 I'm starting now is gonna get 6" and 38s for now. I'd like to put 42s on it later.:D

I got a 6 inch front spring 5' on a sub and 1 inch body lift i recently added a easy inch to the front because it sat low and im running 42's.

why not go with bds or alcan springs?smoother ride with lifetime warr.

I am raising the fenderwells and removing the rockers to gain "lift"!!!

yes, i've looked over your build thread and really like the way your are opening up the wheel wells to look bigger yet factory. i imagine with the big tires you are going to run, rear overhang will not be so much of an issue either...

Thanks bud! I appreciate. I wish I could find some time to work on it again.

I like the subtleness of what some hot rodders do to cars, so I try to incorporate that into the Burban.
