Should I be able to turn my wheel lock to lock sitting in my driveway without the truck running with 40" tires? Before I go to hydro assist, I want to make sure this setup isn't wacky or it might get worse.
As awesome as it may sound, I wouldn't turn any steering without the wheels rolling, if I can avoid it.noahrob said:Should I be able to turn my wheel lock to lock sitting in my driveway without the truck running with 40" tires? Stock steering was designed as "acceptable" with ~29" X ~5" wide tires at ~35 lbs. pressure(?) The big stuff really taxes stock equipment.noahrob said:I agree, but should I be able to?

INstead of starting a new threa, I thought I would check in on this one. I have 39.5" Iroks on H1 wheels and a Lockright in a D60. When I am in 2wheel drive, my pump squeals once in a while, but when it is in 4wheel drive, it is worthless, I cannot turn...My questions are
Should I get a PSC power steering pump?
Hydro Assit with my pump?
Hydro Assist adn a new pump?
My pump and steering gearbox are both brand new...is it normal to have new steering components and no steering..?
