So, how difficult is an LT1 swap?

i know for a fact that my '94 Caprice didnt have it, and my 95 and 96 Grand Ams didnt have it. come to think of it, neither did the 89 and the 94 Berettas we had. late third gen F-bodies got it however, as well as all fourth gens.

yeah i am with jeremy here on this

I have a 95 Impala with this motor. This optispark distributor likes to take a dump when it is exposed to moisture. This may be bad in an offroad truck.

there is a company that makes a billet opti spark thats completely invulnerable to water. ill try and find it. also you cant argue with me about an lt1 swap/ facts. ive done it. they didnt have vats untill 96 in lt1 cars. i did alot of searching on the subject.

Wow, $600 for a distributer!!! I thought I got screwed when I paid $150 to replace a cap and rotor for the original optispark at autozone.

its alot but it solves all the opti problems youll expierience cheaper that switching to distributer. and 2x as much as an opti

you cant go making blanket statments like that. find some proof to back it up, then i'll show you pics of the keys to my buddy's '94 with VATS. EVERY Fourth Gen F-Body rolled off the line with VATS. Fourth Gens started in 1993. when i was in HS all of my buddies had 93-95 F-bodies, both V6 and V8 cars. ALL had VATS.
