This guy I know has a used lockright for a 14 bolt FF and he wants a used 10 bolt 4.10 ring and pinion that I have laying around and $50 bucks. I think I will go ahead and try it, my front 10 bolt with lockright has help up pretty good and for 50 bucks and some old 10 bolt parts I guess it's worth a try. What do you guys think, anybody have any bad or good stories about 14 bolt lockrights?

Don't know anything about them, but they can't be much different than a Detroit for the 14 bff considering it would use the factory carrier and have to fit in the same amount of space as the Detroit.

I would run it. $50 plus some parts you have for trade is pretty good. I wish I could stumble into a deal like that.

Interesting...I was hoping a post like this would come up. I am buying a 14 bolt that has some type of a locking diff in it, pics have been thrown up on here before. I wonder how the lock right and the detroit differ visually (if at all). Virtually no one runs the 14b lock right. I was also thinking the same thing, that it should be about as strong as the detroit since everything's a lunchbox for the 14b. ttt....

I didn't think they made a Lockright for a 14FF?

Correct. Tractech doesn't make an EZ locker for them, just the full awn Detroit and the Truetrac..... :thumb:

A Lockright is a Richmond Gear product and is indeed made for a 14 FF.

Branndon C has one in his Blazer.

Someone mentions the Detroit above, so I was just looking through Tractechs site. And didn't look under Powertraxs/Richmonds site.
