I stopped to help a guy who was broke down on the side of the road yesterday. He broke his throttle cable on his honda which sucked. Anyways, he commented on my blazer and said he had an 83 c10 he wants to get rid of. He said the truck had been wrecked, but has a 350 CI motor and would take 75 dollars for the whole thing. So to make a long story short i think I may have another truck.

So what all can I use off this thing besides the motor and the steering box?

You have an 86 and the C10 is an 83....the complete front clip will work, most of the interior pieces and scrap/sell the rest

nothing like selling a whole truck for the price of a throttle cable for a honda. ha ha
Damn you can use the doors/hinges, front clip and radiator, steering box, motor, rear axle, all interior, glass, wiper motor, wiring harness parts, gas tank,all kinds of stuff except the front end and the transmission. If you have the room, id get it.

Well the guy was tellin me that he sold the intake and carb off the motor, but everything else is still there. He said that the motor is not stock and is a crate motor. I have not seen it so idk what it is.

I was talkin to a buddy about the truck. He has been lookin for a project so what I may do, if the truck is in good enough shape, is to take the 305 from the blazer and drop in this 350, after buyin an intake. I would drop the 305 back into the truck and give it to my friend. That way i dont have to dispose of a truck and a motor and hes got him something to work on. It works out for the both of us.

If the truck is not in good enough shape to fix, im gonna strip it for parts and then haul the rest for junk.

Heck, maybe I could make one of them framerail bumpers that was posted earlier.

I should be getting pics today or tomorrow.

Take the steering box. If you want to do a crossover steering upgrade you will need a 2wd steering box. Windshield If it is good and radiator( you can never have too many radiators.
