203 shifters are known to be problamatic. Check to make sure your shifter is allowing it to go into ALL the different gear selections.

A stock 203 should have 5 selections

Get under your rig and look at the shifter mechanism. The 2 rods that protrude down from the shifter box has an alignment hole in them. Been a while since I've aligned one so I'll let someone else explain more on how to do it.

As for the part-time kit goes, when I did the one in my old suburban. I did it without taking the tcase out of the vehicle. Just removed the tailhousing, replace parts with the part-time kit and reinstalled the tailhousing, 30 min job.

Yeah, I always forget that other (non 205) cases have adjustable shift linkage.

As 4X4HIGH said, the shifters are notorious for coming out of adjustment. Check that first.

ok, ill check the linkages tomorrow probably.. on a good note, i figured out my headlight/electrical problem i was having: damn ground strap at the back of the head was broken, along with one of the wires out of the headlight plug that was supposed to be grounded... it wasnt. now that those are handled, my low-beams actually illuminate something! i also installed a relay kit for the KC lights too, so they dont flicker anymore.

problem solved... douched down the linkages and everything with PB blaster and now it goes all the way into hi-lock and up to lo-lock.

thanks for the help!

No problem. Now's as good a time as any to pony up the $25.00 membership for the wealth of knowledge that's here for you to be had. :D
