I was poking around under the hood today, and found this plug.. unplugged. Looks like the connector is half broken.

So I plugged it back and wrapped it in electrical tape hoping the connector will stay put. I also pulled the wiring up bit to relieve some of the tension on the plug.

So what does that plug control?

The problem I've been having is that when I hit the washers, the wipers would stay on indefinitely unless I hit the mist or turned the wipers on and off. The other issue was that when I would be using the intermittent wipers, it would sporadically go full speed and when turning them off they didn't stop in the down position.

Now everything seems peachy with it plugged in..

I have a problem on my Blazer. when i went to put it in park or reverse the wipers would come on. I just left it unplugged unless it was raining :D

Doesn't do it anymore since i converted to manual ;)

I'd say that plug controls the motor to the wipers :dunno:

I think both of your guys problems lie in ground wires going bad in another circuit that has a common power wire with the wipers. Put a load on that circuit, and the power has to go somewhere, and through the wipers is where it goes. Funny how that goes.

Wouldn't surprise me in any place that uses salt regularly that the grounds get all corroded..
