Please excuse my ignorance, but I'd like to go sometime and just want to know if my future mods will allow it (4" lift with 33's)

I ridden through a lot of the trails in Moab with a friend that has an '84 CJ7 with the stock 258, 5-speed tranny and 31 inch BFG AT's with no lift. He does have a Lock Rite in the back and a Tru-Trac up front, and some spots are kinda tough to get over, but he gets through! We've even taken it over 21 Road near Fruita, Colorado, twice.

A 4-inch lift and 35's on a K5 will take you most places in Moab. You might have to work a bit harder on the tougher spots than say Steve Fox, Shawn or Stephen Watson, but those guys like to drive up the sides of skyscrapers!

We have had people go with us that are on 33's and you can do things like Hell's Revenge no problem. But if you want to do trails like lower Helldorado or Pritchett Canyon, 33's are not going to get it. I went with 35's with a rear locker and a front limited slip and only struggle in a few places. It really depends on where you want to go. There are places there that you could take a slammed Honda and then places that a Sniper could not get through

I thought I was wrong once,
but I was mistaken
