Fatter tires on Suburban and the difference in rims. The rims on the 1 ton draw your attention and look larger than they are. Both looking good in the neighborhood.
When I got pulled over for "excessive height" in my 72 Chevelle wagon that was a 4x4 "conversion",I would show the officer this photo I kept clipped to the sun visor..and asked him "does it look taller than these bone stock vehicles ?"...
The answer was "no"...it was the optical illusion the car was "too high" due to the fender well gaps ,and you aren't used to seeing a station wagon that has another 8" ground clearance over a stock one..
