So my Drivers side door almost fell off...

I've got the truck running VERY nice now, thanks to all the knowledgable people here for the most part! Membership has paid for it self many times over in such a short time!

After "test driving" it out in the pasture, I get out and my door won't shut

It sags off the top hinge a good inch, door won't even come close to closing and I can't even lift the door up enough to get it into the door frame

Going back up tomorow to the pull the door off and have a looksy.. but is there anything it could be that is relatively easy to fix? I kinda wanted to take it on a camping trip this weekend but it sure don't look like that is happening

sounds to me like your door may be cracked at the hinge. I had this problem on both doors on my 79 2wd k5. If you lift the door up and then close it, it should stay shut, make sure though before you drive.

I had a friend ride with me and he didnt close his door properly, needless to say 1st left turn I took his door swung wide open!

I think you may be able to weld the crack. But what I did was replaced both doors
