I bought a FI system that was used. I has a Howell harness but I have two connectors that I dont have sensors for.

One is a EGR solenoid and the other is a green boot connector that has two round style connections and i cannot read the tag. I has a red and a brown wire.

Do I need the EGR solenoid?

The instruction manual and their web site is no help

Depends if EGR is still enabled in the ECM. If it's disabled, no you don't need it. If it is, you need EGR and the solenoid. No way to know but run it and see if it throws an EGR code, unless you can contact whoever put it together/burned the chip.

Green boot connector doesn't ring a bell, can you post a pic?

I will see if I can post a pick later tonight. I need to get a chip burned so I will problably just have them delete that from the system so I don't have to worry about it. I think one is for the egr solenoid and the other is or the egr valve.

Well, on MAF setups they used a switch for EGR operation monitoring, (one wire) but MAP didn't use anything like that. Just the solenoid and the MAP sensor.

If it's vacuum line perhaps, as the EGR valve will have at least one vacuum line running to it, while the solenoid will have two.
