So we have this truck in the shop...

Yep, I'm sure we will at some point. Wish I could just go buy a new truck and do it.

when time comes, u can take mine, ill drive over, drop it off. and pick it up when its all done in a few months. :waytogo: realistic, I WISH. :doah:

For cost effectiveness wouldn't the 36" be preferred? I think those axles are dirt cheap compared to the 32" counter part. Doesn't make much difference here, just wondered what folks were thinking.
I would be doing the 36" route instead because of the cost like you said. The Ford D60's with the wider perches are dirt cheap and very much easier to be found and had than a 32" Ford HPD60.

Guys gotta remember the GM transfercases are a driver side drop, so take that into consideration when you shop for your axle. This would be a better reason to stick with the 36" Ford perch instead.

meh just get a NV241 from a solid axle truck and use a chevy or dodge 60 .

Yeah if you wanted to spend more time and money doing so. But for those who don't know or want to, I'd do the Ford 36" swap instead. But to each his own.

Why not Kert offer both widths in a kit? ORU does so DIY4X can, too. :thumb:

Yep, gona do both for sure. Just was curious as to which way to go first is all.

Just remembered that the D50 has a metric bolt pattern. Wouldn't work without adapters or a new rear, and who would put a Viteon/Sterling in instead of a 14? :dunno:

Nice, only a little over 3 years late for me! Would have loved to have ordered parts from you back then..

X2
I'd go with 36'' for total package price. If you do a link system put me down for advanced order now please.

Do you have a rough ideal when you will have these ready. The IFS on my truck is starting to get wore out. Dont wont to spend money on it, just to take it all back out.

Can't make an estimation on it right now. Weather has us fighting to get caught up and we're heading in to the busy season.

I'd hoped to have had it done already. Just hasn't worked out that way.

I need new brakes on my truck and it's really making me want to just SAS it :haha:
