so what are some of the new features?

when they added ratings to another site several members were upset about getting lowballed.
I went on a tear and in under an hour had 19 low ratings.
rating members is a foolish thing.

what needs to be added, and I dont know if it is here or not, is the ability to change ratings that you have previously given.

I have to look into all of this rateing stuff, I'm not real hip on it either, stupid thing is I can't turn it off without some hacking.
 
I have 'thick skin' but I think the other forum loses new members after they get hit with lowball ratings.
they either leave or get their 'back up' and escalate what would be nothing otherwise.

i like the new forums /forums/images/icons/smile.gif i have a few questions for you
first do you have this on Added an option to use zlib compression if available. Using this can save a lot of bandwidth use and second what can we do to make the image tages not cost you any un needed bandwidth? can you limit the size or is it since they are on another site and only linked to do they still take up your bandwidth?
 
as far as the rating system not everyone likes everyone so hell even steve is going to get a few lowball ones /forums/images/icons/frown.gif and you are going to get a few people who are going to go through and give everyone a 1 star rating because they just want to f@$* with people /forums/images/icons/frown.gif
by the way steve i gave you a 5 that took you from 3 to 4 stars lol /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
 
I have zlib on but it came back not available, I have an email into my host to see whats up.
I would think if the pics are on another server, that server should get taxed the bandwidth.
 
very cool i just wanted to make sure i (along with many others lol ) would like to keep the image tags on so if you find anything that would help with that let us know /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
