Other than the obvious. Find a 4wd crew cab.
I am looking at building a crew cab short box 6' or less. So what your experience?
1) Convert 2wd crew cab to 4wd and shorten the box?
I understand the frame is different between the two and something about the floor pans and or the tranny tunnel?
2) Crew cab 2wd or 4wd on a pick up or suburban 4x4 frame?
Seems like the pick up would be the better option with the possibility of rear tire interference with the cab. And with both you would probably save money and time since all the fuel and barke lines and drive lines would all work unless you change the wheel base. I think ive read about building new rear cab mounts or something to that effect. What about a blazer or suburban tank mounted between the frame rails of the pick.
I guess pros and cons to questions 1 and 2.
Anything else to offer would greatly appreciated.
Thanks
