So whatcha all use for hand cleaner?

Another use for dawn

I read on the net you can mix Dawn dishwashing liquid with hot water and put it on your cement steps after shoveling the snow off(or before it even snows)and it wont re-freeze,and let ice form!--I havent tried it yet,but I might--they said it works great!:confused:
 
The BEST hand cleaner I have EVER used is Mean Green. I have tried all the brands the parts stores sell and NONE of them hold a candle to Mean Green. It works really well and lasts along time.

The only problem with Mean Green is I can't tell you where to get it. I steal it from work. My boss orders it by the case and said I could take what I need so I do. If you can find the stuff it is well worth the price that you will pay. It is heads and shoulders above anything you can get at the parts store, dish soap, or laundry soap.

I have turned az-k5 and therobzilla into believers. I got them a tub of the stuff and they love it. Rob is has a white collar job where 6-7 figure $$$ sales come with a handshack so he can't afford dirty hands. Matt works at Discount tire and his hands are always nasty but the Mean Green takes care of it.

fast orange or gojo orange. lately i used some carquest brand hand cleaner with pumice. it was on sale for 1/2 price :grin:
if i don;t have any i use dish soap.
 
I'm a firm believer in Fast Orange. I buy the big bottle with the dispenser pump. Always use it without water -- then rinse.
 
Never seen any of that fancy stuff you guys are talking about...I just use lemon scented dish soap...we have a 4 litre jug to refil the dish soap thingy up stairs,so I steal some...
 
i mainly use the orange stuff, tho ive noticed one brand is slimier, both are supposedly pumice. i think i like go jo better. i usually use the orange stuff first, get all the major grease off, then go inside and wash with whatever dishsoap is in there. mainly causs i can use hot water then.
 
i use the orange pumice glop chit. forget what its called, looks nasty but it works on some pretty nasty grease.

Everyone is going to laugh at this, but try it anyway. When you're done wrenching , spray some WD-40 on your hands and wipe them off , then use any of the other stuff. Been doing this since I discovered it by accident bout 20 years ago.

Your right, WD40 is a great degreaser.
 
I am a machinist. I have used a lot of different types. They all seam to work the best if you continue to rub your hands with the cleaner till almost dry and then wash off with water. Just my 2 cents.;)

As an owner and true lover of the early model classic Bronco, I have a great deal of experience with hand cleaners. There is a little known product out there from a small Texas company I think is the best. You can get a free sample from them and I think you will be impressed if you do. I am not affiliated with them in anyway, I have just tried their product and think you might like to as well.

The sample comes in a hand size plastic re sealable container (54 grams) that will fit in a glove box and has proven ideal for my frequent trailside use. It can also be used to remove ink, hydraulic fluids, adhesives, varnish, dirt, tar, paint, grease, oil colors, fiberglass resin, wood stains, and virtually anything else.

And after all that, I sure hope this link works

Before anyone bashes him for advertising or spamming, he really isn't. He is a truck lover just like us, except he wheels an old Bronco. That's cool though, leaves more Chevys for me! :D
 
Thank you divorced and I really am not advertising or spamming. In fact, I'm still using my sample but will be ordering soon. It is very true that I am a truck lover and so is my fourteen year old son Michael. He and I have been working on our Bronco for six years now and wheel just about every weekend.

What happened was that a couple of your guys came over to our place on the web, which brought me over here. I don't mind a little ribbing, even allot would not bother me. In fact, the old Ford/Chevy rivalry is kind of fun. But I can tell you this, regardless of what you wheel, I have an extra hot dog and beverage at my camp site for whoever pulls up a crate with a story to tell after a great day on the trail.

yep, WD-40 and then dish soap. then you don't have to wash ten times. use very little water though with the soap just enough to keep it slippery.:)
 
:o Us sissies in the oilfield use a product called "Joe's Handcleaner" they are out of OK city but I don't know their web site...

It does not dry your skin out like gojo & does not have pumice in it that cuts the holy hell out of your skin... thats why it burns...

I have been using it for a long time, & it really works, but so does Dawn & a scrubbie....
