A friggin wagon wheel /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I'm looking at getting a set of tires for both the DD and the project truck BOTH have 17" holes in the middle.

List up locations and prices for 17x9" 6 and 8lug rims, that will fit over the front hubs, with a 2.5-3.5" backspacing /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif

8 lug h2 wheels sell on Ebay for about 150 a set. For 6 lug wheels try some toyota takeoffs

I was going to suggest the H2 rims also, but they have 5.5" of backspace.

With a 17" wheel though I bet you could get away with 5.5" of BS.

16.5 x 9.75 comes with 4.75" a lot I do believe.

Well they do make black rockcrawler in a 17" wheel, but then again, you don't want those do you now?

I wouldn't mind those on the Project truck but I an trying to stay away from them on the DD. I also don't want a 5" backspace... I want the tires to stick out a little. I have the stock rims (3.5" backspace?) and 11.5" wide tires, the new tires are 12.5" wide. On the DD I could deal with 4" offset since the rims will be 2" wider (17x9), I want the same backspace or less on the project truck.

so 17x9, non wagon, 3.5-4" backspace
17x9, maybe a wagon type steel wheel, 2.5-3" backspace

stock 15x7's (3.5" backspacing) with 11.5" tires, I would like them to stick out a little more.

Cool but all the 17x9's are still 4.5" backspace and I wonder if those wil fit over the front hubs /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

I just got off the phone with Mickey thompson wheels and they said their Classic Lock wheel would be out in about 4-5 weeks.

blasterD -- did you use wheel spacers or did they fit fine? Any rubbing problems on the frame/springs?

New suburbans (2004) have 17" wheels that are 6 on 5.5 pattern.

Re: So where can I get a streetable 17\" rim that will fit an 87K5 and thats NOT

479412+ 17X9 22 6-5 1/2" 4 1/2" <---still 4.5" backspacing /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

3.5" backspacing would be perfect /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Re: So where can I get a streetable 17\" rim that will fit an 87K5 and thats NOT

I didn't use any spacers. No clearance issues at all. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Re: So where can I get a streetable 17\" rim that will fit an 87K5 and thats NOT

Are they tucked in the fenders too far or anything? Just wondering because of the 5.5" backspacing?

american racing wheels has some really nice 17x9s in the spacing you want I have bought a set for my 1 ton dodge tow rig and for a fs cherokee we just built it has the chev/toy 6 lug pattern.
I think they cost around $75.00 each. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

why wouldnt they fit over the hubs ?
almost every wheel company out there researches the bolt pattern they are designing the wheel for so maybe im not understanding your question /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

do you have some odd ball hub setup ?

Not one I like /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

Looks like custom offset steel wheels is the only option I have for the project truck (37x12.5x17)
At this rate I'm sticking with 15" rims on the DD /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif (35x12.5x15 MTR's on MT classic locks) I might order 15x8 3-5/8"BS on the front and 15x10 4-1/8"BS in the rear.... its not like a carry a spare in the DD anyways /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

why?

I will be going with a 4' lift and 17*9 (4.5" backspace) on 315/70/17's will this not work for my DD either?

Yes the setup will work /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

BUT, I want the tires to stick out a little more than this setup will allow.... PLEASE post pics when you get them /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
