Soft Shifts

Well i just drove my blazer for the first time to work today with the 465 swapped out and a th350 in its place, wierd not having a clutch.

My shift points are extremely soft and it makes me weary, A shift kit is gonna be in short order, but cant i adjust the vacuume modulator? What way do i adjust the screw to firm up shifts?

The modulator will affect shift points , won't do much for shift quality .

Most stock auto trannys do, and should shift soft. Thats the way they are designed and why people like them. Nice and Smoooooth. As long as it is not slipping between gears, it is fine. If you want to firm up the shifts put in a shift kit. As said above messing with the modulator will only change the shift points.
