So I just picked up the May 2007 issue of Petersons 4wheel & offraod.

Their is 3 Page artile on STC soft top......I'm a little upset...

Anyone else feel the same way?

They should have waited until after this article to close shop maybe they would not have had too.:(

any one here selling a Fast Trac Top???

They've been shut down for a while (and kept people's money). You would think that the magazine would be privy to this information and pulled the article.

first gen?? STC top?

Yeah, I read the article last month.
I even posted the same question here somewhere!!

Here is a shocker I thought I would share
..I was looking in my stack of recipts for my K5 and I found the one for my Kayline snap top I bought in 1993..I paid........345 Bucks for it:eek1: that was NEW stright from Kayline:doah:

Burt - I was looking for suppoort to help my blues go away...not make it worse

thats really cool, I guess the only time I'll really use the top will be when its raining... I'm putting in heated seats ( front back wiht hi and low) and the heater works really well to take the night chill out of the air.

still you've probabaly all seen my post looking for pictures of soft tops on truck, I'm still looking for some. I might get a snap top from best top. but the picture on the web side looks really bad....

any one ever make temp rain cover that can stay on while driving down the highway??

hahaha sorry bout that :D
here is a webpage with a guy I know that has a BestTop;

I'll check my archive photos for a Kayline snap top but here is the Fasttrack I have:

My buddy Greg72 had to make a shelter one year on our way to Moab and he simply bought a blue tarp and I belive duct taped it to his windshield frame...I can't recall exactly what he did but it did last on the freeway for many many miles..more for shade than rain though as it was VERY HOT drving thru the Mojave desert :doah:

Sweet..I think i've seen that picture actualy. as i'm kind of a picture whore, until know its been just dreaming...

Burt, I like the paint job!! one to many beers??

thanks for the pics, I'm not a fan of the tiger bestop .... but it will due for rain , I'll make a bakini top as well... between the two I should be able to keep most of the rain out of the inside.

But ofcourse I'd still like to see more pictures of Tiger top. Keep them coming.

Richard

What is the word on full soft tops? Anything new. Like everyone else I'm still looking for a new fasttrac system like STC had. Why don't a bunch of you Colorado boys git all boozed-up and go "appropriate " the plans from the old manufactuer? Or somebody at least get Best-top to pick up the slack?

No news yet other than i'm going to order Bikini top, thier is an add in the for-sale section.

I'm still looking for a full version though , i might just have to buy a best top version.

STC has always been a shakey company.

i feel so wronged :) jk'ing

I'm sorry!

Well, actually, no I'm not! :D

Keep your eyes peeled, you never know when another one will surface for sale. Heck, I know of a guy on another board who found a STC Fasttrac NIB - can't beat that for sure!

:) enjoy the top for all of us that don't have one.

what other boards are out here?

Richard

I found this STC top over at www.67-72chevytrucks.com - a member posted a link to a craigslist ad. They have a first gen section which some of us here also visit. This and that site are the two that I spend most of my time at.
