To add some more disadvantages:
1. Have to drill\screw into the windshield frame and tailgate.
2. blows around a lot when it's down. You have to get a bungee cord to keep it together.
3. The front window areas on mine are not built real well. Maybe other people got better versions.

Other than those, it's pretty fun to be able to drop the top down and cruise around topless.

Edit: forgot to add the pic and a disadvantage: one small pinhole can leak quite a bit in a big rainstorm. A dab of black RTV can cure it though.

I'm a little biased because the softop was all it had when I got it.

Disadvantages:
1. They don't look as nice as the hardtops when they're up
2. Mine does not seal well around the front windows...probably needs some tweaking.
3. Tailgate bracket looks funny when the top is off. But my silver paint helps hide it.
4. Not crazy about having to drill into the windshield frame and tailgate. like bp71K5

Advantages:
1. You can zip out all the rear windows and have a big bikini top
2. I can put it up and take it down by myself in less than 10 minutes.
3. It makes going topless a whole lot more convenient...which is what I think I said in #2. :D
4. The wife and kids dig it because it's not as windy, or cold, with the top up windows off, as it is with the whole top down.

Their a good compromise basically.

The Bad:
-Don't seal well around the windows
-Won't keep in the heat
-Tough to reinstall when cold
-Shrink over time if not used regularly
-Fit and finish can be sketchy, some pretty good, some not so

They Good:
-They give you enough cover when you need it and let you go topless when ever you want, 'nuff said. :D

They may not the perfect solution but their a whole lot better than running topless in a rain storm.
