Soft Top Questions

So once again I buy and then ask questions later just recieved my soft top from ORd and started wondering, does it make sense at all to switch back to a hardtop in the winter? If so how hard is it to do that once soft top is installed? It looks like you might have to take off the weatherstripping on the rails. To all that know your answers are greatly appreciated.

I wouldnt see a reason to do so. Only if you lived where it snowed a good amount to question the strength.

Nothing but a soft top on mine in 4 years and for 3 years prior it had a soft top and never saw the inside of a garage. I am sure I get a lot more snow than you are exposed to also.

I have had the new softopper on my truck all this winter. It has probably had a foot of snow on it if not more, not having any issues yet. Just remove all the snow when I snow blow the driveway. I never scrape or bang on the windows, just brush the snow off gently. I have not had the hard top on in about ten years.

K5 tops are in black, white, tan and grey.

Damn. Part of the way I was talking myself out of spending money on a soft top was the fact that I didn't want a black one...
