So once again I buy and then ask questions later just recieved my soft top from ORd and started wondering, does it make sense at all to switch back to a hardtop in the winter? If so how hard is it to do that once soft top is installed? It looks like you might have to take off the weatherstripping on the rails. To all that know your answers are greatly appreciated.

have been caught in the rain a couple times, not too bad unless you have to stop at a light.

Nothing but a soft top on mine in 4 years and for 3 years prior it had a soft top and never saw the inside of a garage. I am sure I get a lot more snow than you are exposed to also.

I have had the new softopper on my truck all this winter. It has probably had a foot of snow on it if not more, not having any issues yet. Just remove all the snow when I snow blow the driveway. I never scrape or bang on the windows, just brush the snow off gently. I have not had the hard top on in about ten years.

Dammit guys...I didn't know ORD sold them so I went to their site...

K5 tops are in black, white, tan and grey.

Damn. Part of the way I was talking myself out of spending money on a soft top was the fact that I didn't want a black one...:doah:

The ACLU has been notified along with the equal employment commission, I cannot in good conscience condone this obvious predjudice against this top of a particular color!! :D You must read this using your best Jesse Jackson imitation
