has anyone bought their soft top from jc whitney? its $465 with all the mountings, and they have 15% off so that will make it about $400. is this a good deal?

You can get a Kayline top for the same price, almost.
Never seen the JC one but I have a Kayline and it works great.

Go to "http://thejeep.com/kayline/blazer.html" That is the site for Kayline Soft tops

The only complaint I have about the Kayline top is the 20 or so holes that need to be drilled into the body. Other wise a nice tight-quiet top! Weather proof tooo! My Skyler top leaks at the verticle/horizontal seem.

What kind of damage are you talking about for the drilling. Is it just in the tailgate?

On a full convertable you need to drill holes in the tailgate and the top of the window frame. The bed rails also require some drilling but not for the snaps for the snap rails that bolt to the top of the bed rails.
Hope this helps

Yeah, thanks for the info. Do you know whether you just drill the tailgate for half top models? Also, when you put the top down, do the rails fold down too or do they stick up with the top off? Thanks!

Kayline is coming out with a new Fastrac model for the K5 where no drilling is required.

Yeah, I here they're coming out with the Fastrac for full convertibles Blazers too, but not till next summer. Don't know if I can wait that long.

I called them earlier this morning before I posted the above message. They stated that they just finished the pilot run for this top and if I were to order from any distributer today, it would take 6-8 weeks. This is for the half top only. Like Boss said, the full tops probably won't be available till a later time.
