Mileage: Almost 209k.

Engine: 350 8cyl. Was rebuilt at 145k (or at least majorly serviced - the records say the engine was removed and the block and heads sent for service, but I can't tell what else happened).

Transmission: TH350. Was rebuilt at some point in the past. If I am reading the receipt correctly, it was at about 112k. The previous owner told me there is a transmission fluid leak from him overtightening after a fluid change and new gasket. It does leak some transmission fluid, but not much at all (though that may have more to do with the fact that it's not really driven much).

Body: Overall it's good, but it has some rust areas that need attention (see pictures). I have not checked the floor boards because I'm not sure how one does that. If it's something reasonably easy to do myself, I'd be willing to do it. I'm not sure which other areas are of concern, but I am happy to take pictures if it's easy to do so. I keep a cover on it, which it will come with, but it's a cheapo from Auto Zone or something.

Interior: Close to original. See pictures. Right now, there is no head unit in it. I have an old AM/FM 8-track player (with a CB!) that I wanted to install, but I've never been able to get around to it. Because of that, the conduit to push air into the cabin is removed, but I have the parts and such. Has power steering and factory AC. I haven't turned the AC on in a while, but it worked the last time I did, and was surprisingly cold considering. Heat also works just fine.

Tires: BF Goodrich K02 32X11.5s installed (4 on truck and 1 on spare) back in late November 2016. Maybe 500 miles on them.

Runs: Yes! It starts and runs and I occasionally drive it around to run errands. I noticed it was running a little hot, so I had the radiator service done and I have a new thermostat to install (but I haven't gotten around to installing it). I took it on a 75 miles each way drive in late December. That's about as far as it's ever gone since I have owned it. It's usual duty is a start and run around the neighborhood about once a month. Every so often I drive it 7 or so miles to shop or something. I don't have any problems on these drives other than the lack of radio.

Records: A bunch. The truck has, I believe, 3 prior owners. The first owner bought the truck new and owned it for over 30 years. He was a pilot and kept an airplane maintenance log book of all the maintenance for the truck. He was meticulous. He sold it to someone who sold it to a third owner, from whom I bought it in late 2011.

Issues:
  • Windshield has a thin but long crack and needs to be replaced. (It had a small ding and the repair guy botched the repair.)
  • Gas gauge does not work. It's sort of a hint as to the amount of gas in the tank, but it can't be relied on.
  • No radio. But I have an old Delco AM/FM 8-Track with CB, a CB antenna, a cheap amp, and a bunch of parts to make the head unit work with regular speakers (instead of old 10-ohm speakers) and have aux in. I also have a vintage case with 8-tracks. The stuff needs to be installed.
  • Glovebox closes but is a hassle. Something is broken back there.
  • The seats have some tears. The carpet is original. The console is not original and has wear. Overall, the interior is great and totally usable.
  • There is rust due to it being an old truck. But it came from out west and has only been here (in the DC area) since late 2011, so it has mostly lived in very dry environments. So it's not as rusty as one might expect. See pictures.
  • The windshield wiper fluid doesn't work.
  • I have two vintage KC lights for the front bumper that need to be installed.
  • I see in the records for the truck that there is a small amount of lift that was installed by a shop in May 2010. I can't quite tell how much. It might be just new U bolts and bushings and then a 1" spacer in the back.
  • There are dings, scratches, squeaks, and other issues as one would expect for a vehicle of this age.
I love this truck, but I am now a single female with three vehicles and I just do not have the time or inclination to give this truck the attention it deserves. It was babied by its prior owners, and it deserves someone else who will do that for it. I'm hoping I can sell it to someone who will restore it to its original glory (or at least maintain its current glory). Asking $6k.

I don't agree.
From the looks of it from a distant pic point of view that gem is about to explode.
I can only try not to remember what's hidden.

It's kind of funny how things change. I grew up in the desert southwest and back then I wouldn't even consider owning a square with visible rust like this but after reading all the build threads with rust repair and developing some meager fab skills along the way I would at least go look at something like this for the price. It's just metal after all, or lack there of lol

Understood.
Just seems a bit much for the amount of work/time and additional cash required.

That would be a nice one for a restoration because almost all of the original interior is there...it's amazing how much it cost when you have to go find those pieces...you'd have a very hard time finding those factory GMC hubcaps for example...I wonder if it is one of those that has never had the top off? Oh..and I like the color...looks familiar
