This is a 1987 Chevy Blazer K5 4x4. It has a throttle body fuel injected 350 with a 700r4 transmission. The motor runs very well, and the transmission shifts nicely through all gears. Four wheel drive works great. It has power windows (including rear tailgate window), power locks, and tilt steering. This truck is drivable and ready for winter.
I bought this truck a couple of years ago to build into an off road / winter truck. I have not taken it offroading yet nor driven it as a winter truck yet, hence the reason I am selling it. Since I have owned it I have done a number of things to it.
Recent/new parts:
-I have cut out and patched all rust in the floor
-After patching floor the entire inside of blazer was herculined
-New tailgate
-New tailgate brace (cross member under tailgate)
-New door pins
-The stock axles were swaped out for ¾ ton axles from a pick-up, both axles have 4.10 gears.
- The rear axle is a GM 14 bolt full floater, it has a Detroit locker in it, also has new wheel cylinders
- The front axle is a GM 10 bolt, it has new ball joints, new outer u-joints, all new outer seals, new rotors and pads, automatic hubs replaced with Warn lock-outs
-New spark plugs
-New radiator
-New Heavy Duty fan clutch
-New belts
-New Heavy Duty transmission cooler
-New B&M trans. temperature gauge
-New Autometer Tachometer
Things worth noting:
-The power lock actuators in the doors work, however the switches contacts need cleaned or replaced because the locks will not work with the switch, only work if you manually jump the wires.
-the gas gauge does not work, the previous owner told me something about a bad ground at the sending unit, I never got a chance to look into this.
-As far as rust: I cut out and patched all rust in the floors, the rocker panels are solid, only rust I would consider major is on fender wells around rear tires and on the inner front fenders, the bottom of the doors have some slight rust there as well.
-needs the outer weather striping for the tailgate window.
-windshield is cracked
-the a/c did not work, so I have removed the compressor, hoses, and condenser coil (never thought I would need A/C)
-no radio
I am asking $1800 O.B.O. I will probably say no to most vehilce trade ideas, only because that is why I am selling it at the moment, to many vehicles. I could very possibly be interested in a motorcycle or atv, but just maybe. If you have any questions please ask, or if you want more pictures let me know. Thanks. I can be PMed on here, or at [email protected]
