Looking to pass along my 89 suburban to someone who can do something with it. My dad purchased it new and I purchased it from him.
The truck is solid all around with no rust that I can find except for a small spot under the back window seals.
I have new carpet in it, and had replaced the headliner in 2014, but the headliner has already gone to hell.
I purchased and installed a 2006 6.0L LQ9 HO from BD Turnkey Engines, with their ZO6 cam option in 2014. I got it in and running great. My intention was make it street legal, so I purchased what I believe to be everything needed to make it legal including 2006 cats.
It has 14BFF rear with 4.10 gears. New 35" tires on 17" wheels. Spare tire mounted to a rear bumper that I fabbed. Four wheel drive brake conversion. 1" ORD body lift. ORD greasable shackle flip. Front winch mount with tube bumber.
Np241, Th400.
Still a ways from done in my opinion, but definitely has a good frame, body, interior, great motor, and a good start to something super fun.
Sad to let it go, but after marriage, move and kids, it is obvious that it is just going to rot away in my garage.
I will post some photos soon. Im sure im forgetting lots of stuff, please ask if interested. Thanks!
