Bought 90 K5 and staring new project....

I have followed this site for a couple years and would like some advice. I searched the last two nights and have a ton a good ideas......but I need some advice.

Suspension is the question, Tuff country front springs for the flex and flip kit rear. What size springs and flex 38/39's on some hummers?

Could I use 4" fronts and flip or should I go with 6" fronts?

Not a daily driver and opening the fenders up doesn't bother me at all.

I have set of Dually axles, 60 and 70 with 4:56's and also have an extra set of Hummers that I didn't recenter, see where I am going.

Thanks for some ideas.

if your going for flex what is really popular is the 52'' chevy rears up front and 56'' or 63'' in the back with the 4'' shackle flip. that will net you roughly 4-5'' of lift and will flex amazing. lots of members on the board have this maybe they can post some pics of the flex. you will however definetly need crossover or full hydro to run this, as well as a longer front driveshaft, 15'' travel shocks, and super long brake lines.

Here are some pics of mine with about the same gear you are talking about

This is 8"s of lift, 52" springs in front, 4" flip in rear with zero rate and a 3" body lift

Nice looking K5............what is about the same in suspension?

Front springs and flip in the rear?

What size tires are those?

Good flex, that is what I was looking for. That reminds me of Tellico in the flex pic.

Crossover steering? Hydro assist?

Thanks, Teach
