This aftermarket adapter is used to swap a TH350 onto an application that originally had a TH700r4/NP208. In this application, an OEM 81+ TH350 4wd trans. or a 2wd TH350 is used without tailcone (obviously) with tailshaft cut. Spacer goes between TH350 and Stock TH700R4 adapter. This makes total tranny/transfer case length correct for crossmember and OEM driveshaft length as the TH350 has a shorter case. $45 + Ship

I'm assuming if you use a 2wd tranny it would have to be the version with the shortest tailshaft...which sucks for me,because I have a TH350-C from an 86 G-10 van that has a 9" long tailshaft I beleive, not the shorter 6" version used in cars.(a spare for my 81 G-10 I may never use!).....

I could have used it in my '86 K-10 Burb rather than put another POS 700R4 in it...being diesel though, maybe the Th350 converter's stall speed would be an issue, itwas behind a 305...and the lockup converter would need a vacuum source,I suppose the vaccum pump would work though..

Been loking for a cheap way to get the Burb a reliable driver, so I can either use it or sell it for more than it would bring in its present condition...I have a short tail TH400 from a BB '74 Monte-Carlo and a NP 208 T-case and TH400 adapter too,but it appears to me they wouldn't mate up,the output shaft is just a tad too long, even if it were cut shorter it wont work...now that my mom is very ill ,I may be forced to just sell all my vehicles and get ready to move....nothing has gone well this year at all...:doah:
