I have shipped a tcase like that, just wrapped it with black plastic with wrinkled paper filling voids to make it smooth shape.
150lbs is the limit for UPS and this one is about 110lbs IIRC
You could mabe make a small box from wood and still be under 150 although the price of freight will probably be cheaper, so check pricing on both ways before you ship.
