rare

That 4l80 transmission option is very rare indeed. I've never found a 91 for sale with that option. At least in my local area.

The "experts" locally have only seen three EVER! I live in the heart of four wheel drive gurus.Rare in my opinion doesn't make it valuable, but it's condition does. I don't think the pictures do the Burb justice. I keep thinking how years from now I will regret it. I'm selling it for a ford diesel. There a dime a dozen.

The 4L80E was in every 3/4 ton suburban and crew-cab/cab-chassis 1 ton built for the 1991 model year. Nothing rare about it other than being a1 year only deal.

Thanks for the info I by no means am a expert. It was only available in 1991 and newer? Thanks again

Been through the Rifle area a couple times, real nice area.

Yes that part I knew. So the 4l80e was only in the 91 2500 square body version? And continued through 1992? I think I got it. Thanks for the help!

Yes, that is correct for Suburbans and the Crewcab/Chassis cab 1 tons. Makes them a little more valuable to people who what that body style and a heavy duty OD auto. However, there are fewer and fewer of us out there as the newer rigs get cheaper.

It's not just any square body it's probably the cleanest one I have ever seen and I'm willing to say probably the cleanest most people will see. It does say "OBO" so the price could be negotiated! I have some extras that I could sweeten the pot with! ;-)

I'll second what Kenny said. Myself, i wouldn't call it "rare". But it depends on how you look at it... Its also true that 91 was the last year of the "square" body style, and was the first year of the 4L80E trans which they used at least through like 2009 in express vans at least. Dont quote me on that last part, but its probably roughly accurate.

It is a VERY nice truck! And there is no harm in asking what you are! But i think realistically, you will be lucky to get over $7,000 for it. Good luck! Its a very nice truck!

I have had a better offer. It's hard to put a price on it because value is perception. I don't have to sell and I trust it will go to someone who likes it enough that they will pay what I want.

Yes they are electric! The story behind them is they were a dealer install only. I'm not 100% for sure if that's true but whoever installed them did a awesome job. I heard that from the Chevy experts.
