I'd offer to meet you half way if I could fit my motorcycle in the back :doah: Only problem is I'd need a trailer to haul the bike, then no way to haul an empty trailer back with the bike.

That makes it a little tough to pull off the halfway thing.:doah:My wife doesn't find my quest very amusing. She thinks I just want to have more 4WD's than all my friends. She had no idea I meant combined.:D Looking for any type of vehicle in trade? Just trying to help with the halfway possibilites.

Not really looking for another rig... mainly trying to keep it down to the basics while I go back to school this fall. But if you wanted to let the '68 Malibu go... j/k. Well, maybe not, but I doubt you would trade it straight across if it was capable of making that drive.

There is also a possibility of renting a uhaul trailer one way, but that adds to the cost of everything and starts to kill any deal.

Sorry, Kenny, I don't want it bad enough to trade the Malibu. My late aunt actually was the original owner, too. It gets expensive for me to drive it, but I haven't been able to part with it either.:dunno:

We drove it some more this weekend while my truck was back in the shop getting warranty work done on the tranny. Still runs smooth down the road.

Dude, that sucks, I just asked my wife if she wanted to road trip to Washington this weekend after I saw this. I thought for sure somebody would jump on this 'burb. I have 2 parts 'burbs already, but yours is nice.:(

It would definitly make my wife happer to see it go in one piece rather than parting it out... we actually want to keep it and convert it to diesel. Just have some bills that need to get caught up right now forcing me to move forward with parting it out. :doah:

The burb is getting a stay of execution... I just found out the rebuilt tranny in my other truck needs to be rebuilt again. So I'll need to keep this on on the road for a couple more weeks until I get the other one back.

Yaaayy! It gets a few more weeks of life! I was actually starting to consider how much vehicle shipping might be from up there, but it probably wouldn't be much of a deal any more.

If you really want to get it down there, what are the specs on the S10 in your sig? If I could get $500 and a small beater pickup on trade to drive back I could possibly do the halfway meeting.

I'm not ignoring you, I've just been thinking it over. It's a '89 single cab sb with 4.3tbi and 700r4. It has an across the bed tool box on it and 175,000mi. That's been my commuter for over a year now.

I'm having a hard time parting with my DD, even though it seems to get me in trouble(2speeding tickets in 3 months). Here's a pic for reference it's in nice shape, but windshield is cracked. 3.42 gears BTW, seems to be an unusual ratio in the pickups.
I still can't believe you haven't gotten any bites locally! If someone is interested, this isn't a done deal, by all means feel free to speak up guys.
