For sale:

Regular cab body (front clip and cab) from an 1984 Chevy aircraft tug
Rust free (picked up from a USAF base in Florida in 2007)
All glass is crack free (windshield, DS door & vent, PS door & vent, sliding rear window)
CARC olive drab green paint

***Special note***
This body is from a 1984 ZF axled Chevy aircraft tug (4 wheel drive but built on a modified 2WD frame). Therefore, I am not sure if it is a 4WD cab or a 2WD cab. Let me know how to tell the difference and I will let you know which it is.

$1000 or best offer for local pickup in Northern NJ.

I don't know if it's different in NJ, but out here I can't even get the $1000 I am asking for my complete running 2wd 84 Chevy pickup.
You might want to research the price a bit more?

Yeah, I was not sure on the price but I wanted to get it posted in case someone wanted it. As the original post says, it is "or best offer" but I guess I should have stressed that more.

I find it hard to believe that a $500 truck had a dent/rust free cab and front clip. This is the straightest 1984 body I have ever seen.

I edited the first post to say "best offer over $350". It is not worth my time to pull it off of the chassis for any less. If it doesn't sell, I will just get scrap value for it.

i might give you 500 for the body . but i got to have that snow plow off the front. included.

are you close to a major highway? and can you help load in to a big flatbed trailer?

i might be able to arange pickup via a friend that drops stuff in nj all the time and comes back empty a lot.

Thats not a snowplow, thats a bumper... a bumper that has got to weigh over a thousand pounds...

Unfortunately it is a bumper/ballast box, not a plow, and it is long gone. These trucks have two ballast boxes and the truck weighs 12,000 lbs. with them (they need the weight to tow aircraft up to 60,000 lbs).

I already got rid of the front bumper and the box behind the cab. They were a combo of 3/8" and 1/4" plate steel and both filled with dirt. Both boxes together were around 5,000 lbs.

It is located in Hamburg, NJ 07419 which is about equal distance from I-84, I-287 and I-80 depending on where you're coming from. I don't have a fork lift but could figure something out if someone was coming for it.

bump for a good deal:D

I cant believe youre havin trouble getting decent coin for a rust-free cab.
I paid 500 bucks for a good one back in 1990:eek1:

I am not trying to put you down or ruin your sale, now you are in a good range to sell, and you are in the right place to sell a rust free cab. $350 to $500 should sell, may have to give it some time with this economy though.
Here I will have to ship to get to the rust belt and here everyone has a rust free cab :o

are the fenders clean? rust free?
Yes, they are clean and rust free. It is parked at my friends house about 30 min. away so it is hard for me to check on individual items and it has been a while since I have looked at it in person. I will try to go look at it this week and maybe get some updated pics.

To those that PM'd me about this truck, I have responded. Sorry for the delay, I have been out of town.
