Two brand new fuel tanks (never had fuel) with brand new mounting brackets (bolted to frame)

had someone ask what years these fit. after doing some research it looks like 82-86 with the only difference pre 82 was filler neck size which I have the filler necks for these that I will throw in.

Would these filler necks only work with a short bed that has fuel tank doors, or would they work with a 75 short bed with no fuel doors?
 
Honestly I am not sure the differences between if they had doors or not. There was no bed on the truck so I cant answer what the setup was
 
No difference in tanks or brackets other than possible diameter change between 77 and 85 on filler hose connection at tank, having hoses helps there.

Those filler necks would bolt to a plastic cup and require filler doors if they are original to 85 (they look like that style to me based on plastic fuel caps). Since you are already going to be modifying your bedside, it is possible to graft filler doors from an 84-91 longbed to both sides in your current bed.
