I guess I'm to late.
The best soldering iron I have ever used is a butane one no cords gets hot super fast and you can vary the temperature. You can buy these at Radio Shack but this is the one I have and it works great. I use it at work alot but not as much as I did before they stopped letting me check it when I fly.

I will not use anything but Weller
I have 3 Weller WES-51 2 analog, 1 digital. I will not solder with anything less. Especially when putting chips in xbox 360's
