Solid Axle Conversion kits are officially available!

Flexiest.... hmmm, is that a word. Haha, I like it.

What are you guys recommending for steering with the Dana 44's

Can this kit be used to put a solid axle under a two wheel drive model or are there too many differences in the frames?

This is awesome... since I have seen this I have been shopping for a mid nineties chevy with the 6.5 turbo diesel.

I think that would make a killer trail rig with some solid axles stuck under it.

ok lots of questions as I'm getting everything ready for this swap:D:D I'll keep it simple for now and when I'm closer to being ready to go I'll give you guys a call.

I'm doing this on my '95 3500 dually, It currently has a 4in lift which I'd like to keep. I just bought tires for it and also it's a dedicated tow/ work truck, so a big lift and flexy is not something I'm interested in. If this kit gives me 3" of lift does that mean I should be looking for a stock set of rear springs to use?

Stock rear springs are going to get you 7-8" of lift and they aren't what you want at all.

If I were you I'd go with a 2" lift front '73-87 spring that will net you 5", using stock front springs can be a pretty big clearance headache.

installing Stock rear springs with our kit is going to get you a total of 7-8" of lift and they aren't what you want at all. plus way to soft for dd/tow rig .

edited the info in blue to make it more clear for others. as to not think the rears will get you 7-8" lift alone. thay give 4-5" by them selfs. then the swap kit add's 3" . this info provided just so people searching 52 or 56 spring swap dont get all confused :zombie8:

yeah i got that, but do you sell what in needed as part of the kit or does it require to be built by the owner?

Yes we do have all the steering components you would need, pricing is the same as our older kits. It's basically a different length draglink and some different pitman arm/draglink offset combinations than the older stuff. We have that all squared away, ready to go.

Love it! So simple!
